Right, i want to be able to back my DVD's up, so that if they get scratched i don't have to worry about buying a new copy?
Are there any programs out there that can offer this to me? And what one if there are any would be best?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hey there Fred.
Few things that i will need to know first about what you want exactly.
    1) Do you want to copy loads of DVD's?
    2) Do you intend to keep the copy of the DVD on the PC HDD?
    3) Do you intend to copy the DVD's onto a blank DVD/RW?

    Right ok.
There are a few things that you should bare in mind. Most DVD's if not all come with Anti Copying Protection, this meaning you just can't stick them in your PC burn a copy off and store it.

There are some programs out there that say that they can get through most of the Copy Right Protection. I have used in the past something called DVDShrink. Try this program first.

    Download Link.

This program will copy the DVD onto your HDD in VIDEO_TS files. This usually takes up about 4 GIG per DVD.
To get these files onto a DVD/R so that a DVD Player can read it and play it you will need a program called Nero Burning ROM. (My best suggestion)
You can get this from here for about £40
    Site Here.

    Hope this helps.
